Our year-round Classical Ballet Training Program is designed to help those dedicated students 14-17+ years of age who seek the highest standard of classical ballet education to prepare for a professional career.
Students are guided and taught daily under the artistic direction of Carlos Molina and Erica Cornejo, Founders and Directors of Integrarte. This program is focused on training students through dancing, by getting to learn, rehearse, and perform numerous and fabulous works from the classical ballet repertoire, as well as modern/contemporary choreography. They will learn through daily practice in an environment of personalized coaching. Students will be instructed on how to use their bodies correctly, proper alignment, coordination, mechanics, anatomy, kinetics, musicality, and artistry.
We will do our best to help students get a clear understanding and knowledge of classical ballet technique and develop their ability to adapt to all styles of dance.
Along with daily lessons in classical ballet technique and repertory students will have supplemental classes such as contemporary/modern, body conditioning, Gyrotonic and other stretching/strengthening techniques. Partnering will be provided according to male students availability. To help students grow, other types of dance may occasionally be included as part of the training.
Showcase, performances and open rehearsals will be arranged for the students as part of their training.
*Female students: Pointe work training will be done and guided through the daily routine accordingly to each individual. Students will be encouraged to wear pointe shoes for ballet class and rehearsal as much as possible.
Classical repertory will be on pointe.
*Male students: Separate men’s classes are arranged as needed.
Daily classes run Monday-Friday 10am-3pm.
Saturday will be reserved as part of the schedule but only the Saturdays previous to a Showcase and those the day of the Showcase will be used. On those days, warmup/rehearsal will run 10am-3pm.
